I’m going to tell you all a little secret. This is the time of year when I struggle with boredom. It’s too hot to enjoy much time outside and crochet/sewing projects for winter warmth when winter seems so far away always lose their charm. For most people, the doldrums are reserved for late winter, when they tire of cold, gray days and spring has begun to hint about its imminent arrival. Don’t get me wrong, I’m privy to those, too. But I like gray days and I’ve never been one to enjoy sweating for the sake of sweating. Summer, to me, is a bit of a drag. If it weren’t for tomatoes, I don’t reckon I’d have any use for summertime at all. 🙂
Tonight, I’ll start work on my fridge in town. I was out til nearly 10 last night, didn’t get to sleep until sometime after 11 and the desire for a soft pillow outweighed my craving for a clean fridge. I fully plan to skip yoga and head home to do some chores, simply because it’s been put off for far too long now. Unless… well, it could very well be that the fridge is going to wait another day. I haven’t been to yoga in 3 weeks and frankly, my flexibility has noticed the lack. And since yoga is once a week and a fridge is every day, all day, perhaps it wouldn’t be a bad idea to postpone it one…more…time…
Ahhhh, the sweet, sweet smell of procrastination…
In any case, the fridge WILL eventually be tidily organized, but even if not, the world will keep on spinning. And my summer doldrums will still be lurking, probably in one of the crisper drawers.
What do YOU think?
